Back to School

Well the kids started school yesterday. I was sad to see the summer come to an end but so very excited to see them start making new friends. It has been hard to move in the middle of the summer and them not have buddies up here. Anyway, they all got off with a hitch. Ethan and Megan seemed good with their first day, Ryan is having a tough time blending in at middle school. I think in time they will all do well. Ethan's second day he has decided he is not thrilled with his teacher, but he was told this teacher was mean by a neighbor at our new place. Megan seems happy go lucky, but homework last night was a battle we shall see about today. Ryan will be home in just over an hour so we shall see if day 2 was better. He has block scheduling at his school. So Day 1 he has Homeroom (everyday), Band, Language Art, & PE and Day 2 he has Homeroom, Geography, Math and Science. Its been very rainy the past few days which is also putting a damper on things. More to tell....... And above are a few pics...

Horse Farm

Megan's Girl Scout Troop went out to a farm and was shown how to care for a horse and then was lead around an arena. I think most of them thought it was pretty awesome!

Megan has such a blast today. This is the second "girl scout" event we have attended and this was a lot of fun. Basically it was a ton of "booths" set up by each troop and they either had crafts or games or both. The theme this year was fairy tales. Just thought I would share a few pictures of her.

Megan's Girl Scout Investure

Well Megan is now "officially" a Daisy Girl Scout. We went to her ceremony that was with a Brownie troop that her leader leads. So cute they were. Unfortantely true to form Miss Megan had her own agenda and it was always necessarily what the other girls were doing. She wasn't being bad, just not participating. Anyway, she is still very excited and Mommy had some sewing to do. :)

A Couple of Not so Camera Shy Girl...

The pink dress is a beautiful handpainted dress that we received from Korea when a friend of the family used to travel. Miss Meg finally fits in it and I just had to share. The second set is a white dress I bought to take some beach pictures, so you may see that one again ;) She is such a hambone! Excuse the wet hair, it was right after a bath.

The girl turned 5 today! *Snif* Hard to believe that she is so big now. And let me tell you she is 5 going on 13... The attitude this child has already! She can be such a sweetie though too. Anyway, here a few photos to tide you over. She also finished with Speech, she is talking so good now.

Well its very sunshiney ;) , that is Megan's new room. Yeah, yellow is very hard to pick... Hopefully it looks better in the am. LOL!! And of course Megan is protesting (before it ever hit the wall) that she wants PINK!!! UGH!
