Well we went in today and had xrays done. They brought him back in the room and left the xray up on the screen so Ryan and I pondered if it had changed any from last week. The tech came in and wasn't very re-assuring after looking at last weeks, but said not to stress until after the dr looked at it. So Ryan of course started getting stressed and I reassured him that we have been through surgery before and if we had to we'd get through it. We needed to get his arm completely better and the doctor would make sure we did the right thing, so he took a deep breath and relaxed. The doctor came in and said that it had improved about 2 degrees, so we would see if another week would improve it some more. He said if he had good improvement that in 10 days from now he would consider a short cast. Of course this thrilled us because a) for now we have avoided an evasive surgery and b) we can get a WATERPROOF cast if we get a short one and it will make life big time easier.
So today I am thankful that my son will not need surgery as an intervention and will continue to pray and hope that holds true.
